Our commitment to the Schuman Institute for Europe
The ECSR, together with the Robert Schuman Institute for Europe, will speak at the online session of the next INGO Conference, which will take place from 22 to 23 June 2020, on the great question of the post-Covid era. “The CEDS is committed to the Robert Schuman Institute in the defence of common values such as the fight for solidarity, justice and peace between populations, the dialogue of cultures and the strengthening of diplomatic and economic links between Africa and Europe.
The President of the Institute, Minister Yamina Benguigui, considers this last point as the “essential springboard to combine sustainable economic development and environmental protection”. Register HERE quickly for the Webinars that will cover the following topics:

A word from the CEDS Director of Studies, Professor at Paris 5
Fouad Nohra
“The issues of the post-Covid 19 global system are of major interest to CEDS faculty and researchers.
Indeed, the current pandemic has brought about an economic upheaval with an unprecedented recession, a reorganization of work, a return to national borders, but also a potential challenge to individual freedoms. At the same time, human scapegoats are replaced by an “invisible enemy capable of unifying humanity.”
A word from the Director of Development of the CEDS, Vice President of the Schuman Institute
Florence Gabay
“I have chosen today to breathe new life into the CEDS of the INSEEC U group, of which I took over as Director of Development this year. By inviting personalities from the world of politics, diplomacy and the media to give lectures to the students of the Center for Diplomatic Studies (who are themselves senior officials in the fields of diplomacy and defense in France and abroad). My mission is to transmit and bring to life, through academic requirements and research work, the issues of mediation, conflict resolution, participatory democracy, foresight with regard to the major international upheavals linked to economic, environmental and social changes, the duty to remember, to help each other and to fight against all forms of oppression throughout the world – in the continuity of my commitment to the Robert Schuman Institute for Europe and the Council of Europe.
